Many people might be familiar with hangover headaches after consuming an excessive amount of alcoholic drinks like wine or beer. In fact, these beverages might cause a migraine within 2 to 3 hours after drinking. However, not all alcoholic products have the same effects. Studies have shown that red wine tends to have a higher risk, particularly among women. This is mainly caused by its high histamine content, which can also be found in some fermented foods, cheese, fish, and processed meat.
