6Heat Pack
If your lower back pain is long-term and chronic, then heat packs can be used to alleviate the condition. Moist heat can relax your tight muscles or soft tissues and promote blood flow. A good option is herbal bags placed in the microwave, particularly when they are infused with aromatherapy like lavender. After placing them in the microwave for a few minutes, just apply to your painful area for around 20 minutes. Another alternative is to soak your body in a Epsom salt bath, which contains magnesium to reduce swelling and relax muscles. This method isn’t ideal for acute pain as it would promote inflammation and increase your blood flow. [6]
