Pustular psoriasis is a serious type of psoriasis. It occurs quickly and appears as white pustules covered by red skin. Isolated parts of the body are commonly affected, such as the feet and hands. In some cases, pustules may join and cause scaling. People with pustular psoriasis may experience flu-like symptoms, such as a loss of appetite, muscle weakness, rapid pulse, chills, or fever. Treatment options include biologic medications, light therapy, oral drugs, and prescription or OTC steroid creams. To reduce the frequency and risk of occurrence, it is important to identify and treat the underlying cause of pustular psoriasis. [4]
