Make sure to stay away from any irritants to your throat or voice. These might include inhaling fumes and dust, consuming dairy products, drinking carbonated beverages, consuming alcohol, or smoking. All of these things would irritate your vocal cords further and worsen laryngitis’s symptoms. If your working conditions contain a lot of harmful chemicals, make sure to wear protective gear to reduce the risk of exposures.
