4Blood Urine
People with kidney cancer might also notice the presence of blood in their urine. This condition is also known as hematuria. It occurs in up to 50% of kidney cancer cases when the tumor progresses and causes some damages in your kidneys, which are responsible for filtering waste. Even a small blood amount would lead to a color change, such as red, brown, or pink. This symptom might be inconsistent and appear once in a few days. Sometimes, a urinalysis is needed to detect an extremely low level of blood. Keep in mind that this sign can also be seen in some other conditions, such as cysts, kidney stones, and kidney or bladder infection. [4]
