8Premature Birth
Typically, a pregnancy often lasts around 40 weeks. However, some babies might arrive sooner before the 37th week. Many premature infants have some long-term health issues like an inguinal hernia. The condition results from a weakness in their abdominal wall that is present at delivery. Sometimes the symptom can be only visible when the babies cry, stand for an extended period, strain during bowel movements, or cough. An inguinal hernia might also make them eat less than usual or feel irritable. [8]
