9PCR Test
The PCR or polymerase chain reaction test is used to copy your genetic components from spinal fluid, tissue, or blood sample. This sample can be then tested further in the lab to find out the presence of herpes simplex virus. In addition to confirming the condition, it can also determine which form of herpes you have. Thanks to advanced technologies, the results from a PCR test is often very precise. In some cases, the test might deliver a fall negative result when the sores have started healing or when you have been infected recently. Therefore, some additional tests might be needed to confirm the condition. [6]
