76 Causes of Ewing’s sarcoma
Genetics
The exact cause of Ewing sarcoma is still unclear. However, some DNA changes in the cancerous cells might play a key role. Studies have found the association of some particular genes to the development of this condition. When chromosomes 12 and 11 exchange their genetic materials, they will trigger an overgrowth of cancerous cells. Over time, this might result in the occurrence of Ewing sarcoma. In most cases, these developments tend to happen unexpectedly and will not be passed down from generation to generation. [7]
