4CT and MRI Scan
In addition to X-rays and bone scans, some other imaging techniques can be used for diagnosing Ewing sarcoma. A CT or computerized tomography scan is the process of taking several X-rays and reassembling them into a detailed 3D image of your bones. By doing this, your doctor would check whether the condition has spread to different parts. Another option is the MRI scan. It utilizes radio waves and magnetic fields to generate detailed images of soft tissues and bones. This is an effective test to measure the spread and size of any cancerous tumors caused by Ewing sarcoma. [4]
