3Magnetoencephalography
The neurons in the brain produce electrical currents, which generate small magnetic fields. Magnetoencephalography or MEG can be used to measure these elements. Your doctor would conduct this test at the same time with an MRI or EEG to locate the brain regions that are affected by epilepsy. In general, a MEG is a painless and non-invasive method that involves the use of sensors and metal coils to determine the brain functions. The results would be more precise than an EEG since the tissue and skull around the brain do not disturb the readings. However, using two tests is better at detecting all possible abnormalities. [3]
