9How Do Caregivers Experience Dyskinesia and Tremors?
Caregivers may experience Parkinson’s disease much differently than the patients themselves. In many cases, they would think that the looks from an “off” state are quite comfortable because the patients are still and calm. However, for people with Parkinson’s disease, this state can be very uncomfortable. Many patients report that they feel as if they are trapped and cannot move even when they really want to do that. Overall, there would be misunderstandings between what caregivers may think is good and what patients really want. This makes caring for people with Parkinson’s disease a challenging job.
