9Airway Hyperreactivity
Airway hyperreactivity or bronchial hyperresponsiveness is a condition caused by the contraction of small airways or bronchospasm. This is actually a hallmark of asthma. However, the disease tends to happen more often in those people with COPD. To diagnose airway hyperreactivity, your doctor might suggest the bronchial challenge test. During the process, some substances like histamine and methacholine will be used to check if bronchospasm can trigger their activities. This trigger is directly associated with the method of gas cooking. [9]
