8COPD
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease or COPD is a group of medical conditions that affect the lungs and airways. It is mostly triggered by smoking and often involves emphysema and bronchitis. Due to obstructed airflow and inflammation in the lungs, people with this disease might experience wheezing, mucus production, cough, and breathing problems. COPD can also increase the risk of developing lung cancer, heart disease, and many other conditions. This can be a serious threat to female health as it limits their ability to be active and reduce the quality of life. [8]
