Not all forms of breast cancer cause a mass. For instance, inflammatory breast cancer is a type that would not cause a lump or not show up on the result of a mammogram. Other common symptoms of this disease include:
– Thickening areas or ridges on the breast
– Changes in the color of the breast skin
– Pain, tenderness, or itchiness
– Retracted or flat nipple
– The breast is warm to the touch
– Swelling in one breast, making it bigger than the other
– Dimpled skin like an orange peel [5]
