67 Causes of Bradycardia
Cardiomyopathy
Cardiomyopathy is a progressive condition of the heart muscles, also known as myocardium. It weakens the heart muscles and causes this organ to beat slower, making it unable to pump blood to other body parts. There are basically 4 main types of cardiomyopathy, including dilated cardiomyopathy, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, arrhythmogenic right ventricular dysplasia or ARVD, and restrictive cardiomyopathy. It can be caused by many factors, such as side effects of certain medications or coronary heart disease. If left untreated, the condition would lead to a heart valve issue, heart failure, or irregular heartbeat. [6]
