12Stroke
Stroke is a fatal condition that affects the arteries within and leading to the brain. It happens when a blood vessel carrying nutrients and oxygen to the brain ruptures or is blocked by clots. In these cases, some areas cannot get sufficient blood, leading to the death of brain cells. When a stroke affects the areas that control heart functions, bradycardia and many other cardiovascular conditions would happen. Stroke can be divided into two main types. A hemorrhagic stroke is caused by a rupture of the blood vessel, while an ischemic stroke occurs when a clot obstructs the blood flow to the brain. [12]
