3Dry Mouth
Dry mouth is a condition that occurs when there is not sufficient flow of saliva. In most cases, people with dry mouth will experience swelling in the nasal passages and feel constantly parched. This is because saliva continuously removes unwanted particles and microbes from your mouth as well as neutralizes acids. When there is a lack of saliva in the mouth, it is more likely to have a bad taste in the mouth or a bad smell in the nose. Several common causes of dry mouth include dehydration, breathing through the mouth, decongestants, painkillers, diuretics, antihistamines, and salivary gland issues. [4]
