9Literal Thinking
Many people with autism are typically literal thinkers. This means they love and are able to work with abstract thoughts. However, this can be a subtle sign since many normal people can also think literally. In general, autistic people tend to feel confused when dealing with exaggeration or sarcasm. They also find it hard to understand the figurative language in normal life. Similarly, subtext can be difficult for them to pick up. [9]
