9Anti-Inflammatory Medications
A doctor would prescribe some anti-inflammatory medications like ibuprofen to help you relieve pain triggered by adenomyosis. It is often recommended to take these drugs 1 or 2 days before a period starts and continue during this time until you see improvements in pain and menstrual bleeding. Make sure to read the directions and follow to ensure safety. Avoid taking more than suggested even when the pain does not go away. Anti-inflammatory drugs should not be used when you have an aspirin allergy, asthma, liver damage, stomach disorder, ulcer, or bleeding disorder. [9]
