4Body Stiffening and Twitching
An absence seizure can affect motor functions. In general, there are two forms of motor symptoms caused by this condition, including stiffening and twitching. They are characterized by the relaxing and tensing of muscles quickly. Some most affected body parts include the legs, neck, and arms. In several cases, you can also notice their body shaking when a seizure is occurring. Small twitches or jerking motions would indicate the presence of another form of seizure, which can happen at the same time as the absence seizure. [4]
