8 Early Pregnancy Symptoms

3Breast Changes

Between the 4th and 6th week, breast changes may happen in pregnant women. They are likely to develop swollen and tender breasts because of hormone changes. This tends to go away after several weeks once the body has adapted to the hormones. Breast and nipple changes may happen around the 11th week as well. Hormones keep making breasts grow in size, while the area around their nipples becomes bigger and darker.

You may buy a supportive and comfortable maternity bra to help ease the tenderness caused by these changes. The best option is an underwire-free and cotton bra. make sure to go for varying clasps so that you have more room to grow in the next months. Consider purchasing breast pads as well to fit into the bra and reduce friction on the nipples. [4]
