4Overstimulation
Many elements in the surrounding environments would overstimulate your basic senses. These include working on the laptop, playing a video game, watching television, or being exposed to bright flashing lights. Even though these triggers do not always lead to a seizure, it is still better to avoid them, especially when you have a history of seizures caused by light or sounds. It is estimated that around 5 percent of epilepsy cases have seizures triggered by these factors. In case you cannot give up playing video games or using the computer, then a useful tip is to take a regular break. Look away from the display after 5 to 10 minutes, close the eyes, and allow your senses to have a short pause. This can significantly reduce the risk of triggering a seizure. [4]
