2Myoclonic Seizure
Myoclonic seizures typically cause limb jerks or sudden movements, which lead to unusual clumsiness and hiccups. These symptoms tend to occur in the neck, head, and arms a few times during the day or even on many consecutive days. Each jerk often lasts in a very short period, typically milliseconds, but the total duration would be up to 30 minutes each time. This type is often seen in kids between 3 and 12 months old and it would last for many years. It can involve both sides of the body, particularly in the morning. When myoclonic seizures happen with tonic-clonic seizures, it indicates the presence of juvenile myoclonic epilepsy. [2]
