8Neurological issues
Neurological issues could be specific and subtle when you are suffering from Lyme disease. In most cases, you might feel less coordinated or off-balance in your motion. For example, you have made a lot of effort to walk down a minor incline on the driveway, which causes you to fall or trip more often than before. Due to the effect on your cranial nerves, there would be also paralysis or weakness on one or two parts of the face. Also, it can lead to loss of smell and taste due to the same cause. When the Lyme bacteria infect through your nervous system, they would inflame other tissues where the spinal cord and brain meet, which eventually results in light sensitivity, headache, and stiffness.
