7Lymphedema
Lymphedema is basically a condition in which internal fluid accumulates in a part of your body because of damages to lymphatic vessels and lymph nodes. These parts work by gathering free fluids in tissues and sending them back to the veins. When damages happen to lymph vessels and nodes, the subsequent accumulation of fluid could result in tightness and swelling of the skin. Many people are quite informed about arm lymphedema which occurs in a few women who undergo breast cancer surgeries, but this condition might show up almost anywhere. In skin cancer, it is most common when the surgery removes the lymph nodes. [7]
