12Unusual Moles
Moles are a benign development of melanocytes, which are cells that give color to your skin. However, atypical or abnormal moles could emerge as a symptom of skin cancer. Here are a few tips to determine whether your moles are usual or not. [12]
– Normal moles are asymmetry, meaning that one half will match the other one. So if you don’t see them in the same size or shape, then it is better to check with your doctor.
– If the edge or border of the mold is irregular, blurred, or ragged, it can also a sign of melanoma.
– A mole that doesn’t have the same color or has shades of red, white, blue, black, or brown is also suspicious. Usual models will be in single color shade.
– Another sign of unusual moles is a larger diameter than a pencil’s eraser.
