This is a symptom associated with cholecystitis gallbladder and cancer gallbladder. This swelling can be as a result of inflammation of the gallbladder or a tumor in the gallbladder. If the gallbladder disease is not quickly treated, the gallbladder will keep swelling, and as the swelling increases, pain in the abdomen also becomes severe. This swelling can also cause the gallbladder to tear, leading to infection of tissue death. Most times, swelling becomes severe after you have eaten a fatty meal.
