This method of treatment deals with getting your mind and body at rest. After a long day of stressful work, it is advisable for a patient with depression to take at least 6 hours to rest. Getting relax is a different thing from sleeping. Relaxation does not only assist in relieving symptoms of depression, but it also reduces stress and boosts feelings of joy and well-being. Relaxation solves depression in its different ways such as yoga, deep breathing, progressive muscle relaxation or meditation. It is vital for a patient with depression to know that negative thoughts should be avoided during relaxation. [9]
