Chills & fever are rare bronchitis symptoms [10]. You might experience fever and chills both in acute and chronic bronchitis. The fever will be mild and will not cause major complications. Mild fever means the temperature below 100F. It is the sign that your body is fighting with the infection. In addition to fever, you will experience chills and discomfort. However, you should not take medicines for mild fever. Let your body to do the course and to fight the infection successfully. But when the fever continues for more than three days, you should talk to your doctor. Alternatively, you can take nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as naproxen or ibuprofen and acetaminophen for body ache and fever.
