9Depression
According to nih.gov, there is a well-established relationship between alterations of various hormonal systems and psychiatric disorders, both in endocrine and psychiatric patients.
It is still debatable whether an imbalance in hormone levels causes chronic depression and traumatic stress. Scientists and experts are studying it more thoroughly. While concrete explanations still have to be furnished, it can be agreed conclusively that a simultaneous reduction of levels of adrenaline and serotonin can make one feel exhausted and nervous at the same time. Combined with this is a sharp spike in the level of cortisol. This kind of disruptions can together cause severe depression and stress which itself creates new health complications in the body and mind together.
