5Restless Legs
There is a connection between restless leg syndrome and iron deficiency in people with anemia. In general, they may have a strong impulse to move their legs while being at rest. The condition would also lead to itching feelings or unpleasant crawling in the legs and feet. This symptom tends to become worse during the night, which would affect the quality of sleep. It is still not fully known what cause restless leg syndrome. Nevertheless, studies have found that it happens secondary to different disorders, including anemia. Indeed, individuals with anemia are six times more likely to develop restless leg syndrome than others. [6]
