8Mechanical Ventilation
When sepsis causes serious breathing issues, respirators or ventilators can be used to help the patients breathe properly. These devices would perform all the work by pushing the air to your lungs at a preset speed or only help if necessary. The doctor will program the machine so that it would record the frequency of breathing of the patient. If there aren’t sufficient breaths in a specific period, the device will help by operating and providing air. [8]
