6Stroke
A stroke occurs when blood flow to different brain areas is blocked. This would lead to some damages and abnormalities in different regions, which would increase the risk of a special form of dementia called vascular dementia. There are many risk factors for strokes, such as family history, sex, as well as age. Typical symptoms tend to show up unexpectedly and slowly, depending on the underlying cause. Disorientation and confusion are often the earliest problems. Over time, stroke-related dementia might lead to concentrating problems. Hallucinations and vision issues can also happen.
