7Dehydration
Drinking enough water will help the body flush out bacteria in the bladder and dilute urine. Therefore, dehydration would lead to the buildup of harmful components and trigger an infection. Make sure to drink a lot of fluids, especially cranberry juice and water to reduce the risk. Aim for at least 2 liters on a daily basis to prevent bacteria from attaching to the bladder’s walls. Avoid caffeinated beverages, tea, or coffee as caffeine would irritate the bladder. [7]
