Morning sickness, also known as nausea gravidarum, is often the first sign of pregnancy. People with this condition often feel nauseous and tired, and they might even vomit. Though it can be rarely serious, it would be very unpleasant and uncomfortable. Morning sickness happens to around 80% of all pregnant women. In most cases, it does not lead to any health risks for the babies. Indeed, this is often seen as a normal aspect of pregnancy. 1Drink Plenty of Fluids

Morning sickness would lead to dehydration through vomiting. Thus, it is essential to stay hydrated by drinking a lot of water. Make sure to sip fluids during the day with a straw if necessary. However, avoid drinking around 30 minutes after or before eating. Aim for at least 2 liters or 8 glasses of water on a daily basis. When you get sick, replace with a sports drink that contains potassium, salt, or glucose to restore the loss of electrolytes. You can also drink some carbonated and cold beverages to help ease the stomach. [1]
